Transportation Getting around downtown and the River Market is easy! Little Rock has five replica vintage trolleys operating on the 2.5-mile route. The River Rail route includes Alltel Arena, the Statehouse Convention Center, the River Market itself, both state houses, the historic Argenta neighborhood, numerous restaurants and hotels, the Historic Arkansas Museum, the Museum of Discovery, the main branch of the Central Arkansas Library System, two Chambers of Commerce, courthouses, the Robinson Auditorium Concert Hall, the Riverfront Amphitheater and more. Hotels that can be reached on the River Rail include the DoubleTree Hotel, the Capital Hotel, the Peabody Hotel (home of the ducks) and the Courtyard By Marriott. River Rail Day Passes are $2 each and are available at the Capital Hotel, the Central Arkansas Library Main Branch (100 Rock Street), the Courtyard By Marriott, the Historic Arkansas Museum (200 East Third Street) and the River Cities Travel Center (310 East Capitol Avenue). Directions from the Airport From the airport, take Interstate 440 West to I 30 North to 2nd Street to get to the class. Take a right on the exit marked 2nd Street, circling around and under then going East and turn left on Louisiana, then go South. Three blocks on the left, going South on Louisiana, you will come to this building named "Union National Plaza One" on the front entrance, but that is only visible from the Capitol Avenue main entrance, and if you park on Louisiana and enter from the Louisiana side, you will not see the building name. Look for the ground floor coffee shop named "Sufficient Grounds" as a landmark. The valet garage, also accessible from Louisiana, is closed on weekends. Street parking is available as downtown is virtually vacant on weekends. Street side parking is free nights and weekends. It should be easy enough for all to park adjacent to the Louisiana Street entrance. The building's Security staff has been advised and will open the front doors for you upon your arrival, and each person will need to sign in at that front security desk. DJ will be in the lobby that Saturday morning to greet and advise about amenities, restrooms, break room and vending machines. Should there be any problems with security stepping away from the desk, they can be reached at (501) 779-3577. As well, you can reach me on my cell, circumventing the answering service if you call my office number. That cell number is: (501) 804-8808.
